Australia's energy sector is on the verge of some big changes. The expanded Renewable Energy Target (RET), in conjunction with other climate change policy mechanisms likely to be introduced, (whether in the form of Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) or some other policy mechanism), will begin a transition to a greater mix of renewable energy and a progressive restructuring of Australia's energy supply system.
