Research
Australia's leading
think-tank
The quality and independence of CEDA's research program has earned it a reputation as
Australia's most highly respected business and economic policy
think-tank. Our research program explores the issues underpinning
Australia's economic growth. The CEDA Research and Policy current
priority topics that have emerged from consultation with the CEDA
membership are: The Global Financial Crisis and implications for
Australia; Water and energy; Broadband and digital information; Climate change and Infrastructure development and effective
private-public partnerships (PPPs).
Independence and credibility
The bulk of our research is undertaken by outside experts in the
relevant fields, often as part of a partnership with universities
or member companies.
Communicating the outcomes
CEDA research is published in printed report form, as part of
the Growth series or
as an information paper. Growth reports are also launched publicly
and discussed as part of an Australia-wide conference program.
Events
Conferences and seminars
CEDA events take
place across Australia, with high-profile speakers on issues facing
local, regional and national development.
Boardroom briefings
CEDA members have the opportunity to host boardroom briefings at
their premises. The boardroom briefings provide the opportunity for
learning, relationship-building and influence.
CEO and CFO roundtables
CEDA
roundtables bring together a small group of CEOs or CFOs from
CEDA member organisations to share advice, ideas and experiences in
a non-competitive environment.
Leadership programs
Leadership is a fast-growing area of activity for CEDA, with the
Copland
Program for emerging leaders in Melbourne, and Sydney's
Emerging Leaders Series.
