Ian Ferres is a consultant to TressCox Lawyers , and a
Director of Australian Unity Limited. He is the Chairman of
Australian Healthcare Investment Company and the Investment
Advisory Committee of Vianova Asset Management Ltd. He is also a
Director of Contango Microcap Ltd and TDI Limited, and a
Member of the Australia Day (Victoria) Committee.
He has specialist expertise in the areas of finance, marketing,
property and issues management. Ian was with National Mutual
for 34 years until 1990, the last seven years as an Executive
Director. He managed their worldwide investment, property, banking
and finance activities from 1975 to 1988. More recently, he was MD
and CEO of Australian Unity from 2002 to 2004.
Over the past 40 years, Ian has served as a director of
approximately 50 public (listed and unlisted), private, and federal
and state government enterprises. He has been Chairman of 16 of
these enterprises, including Treasury Corporation of Victoria,
Commonwealth Funds Management, and Monash Medical
Centre.
