About CEDA events
About CEDA events
CEDA host a number of state and national forums and events
throughout the year to contribute to the discussion on Australia's
economic development.
- An unparalleled line-up of speakers, including Australian and
international business and political figures
- An independent, open platform to discuss and understand
economic, business and policy issues
- Annual flagship events and forums
- Exclusive member-only lunches and boardroom briefings
Putting ideas into practice
CEDA's forums and events provide an open platform for discussion
and debate, delivering feedback to policymakers and ideas to the
business community. Attending provides access to best practice
knowledge, ideas and case studies directly from other businesses,
enabling leaders and managers to make better decisions.
New ways to participate
We continue to innovate with different event formats. In
addition to lunchtime events, CEDA holds half and full-day forums
to examine issues intensively and from different perspectives.
The forums focus on putting ideas into practice, and give the
audience a chance to engage with the speakers.
Australia's best minds
Our events bring together some of Australia's best minds.
Audience members can also engage directly with speakers during open
Q&A and panel sessions.

Lunchtime program
Our lunchtime events program is unparalleled. Australia's
business and political leaders speak regularly to audiences of up
to 400 over lunch in some of Australia's best venues across the
country. CEDA members can sponsor events and host corporate
tables.
National forums
CEDA national forums focus on theory and practice behind current
issues in Australian business and policy. Recent forums include
corporate social responsibility, innovation, climate change, water
and health. Industry and academic experts deliver their latest
insights, followed by business-based case studies. Audience
participation is a vital component.
Boardroom briefings
CEDA members can host trustee-only briefings on relevant
business and policy issues in their boardrooms. Speakers include
business and political leaders. The boardroom briefings provide a
unique, personal environment for gaining new insights and expanding
business and knowledge networks.
National flagship events
State of the Nation
CEDA hosts an annual State of the Nation conference in Canberra,
an intensive day-and-a-half of briefings with government and shadow
ministers, public servants, commentators and industry analysts. The
State of the Nation offers an insider's view of the federal
government's policies. Participants discuss issues directly with
speakers and other attendees, and take part in regular networking
opportunities.
Economic and Political Overview (EPO) events
CEDA's Economic and Political Overview is Australia's premier publication and series of briefings on the
Australian economy and politics for the year ahead. Running for 30
years, the EPO brings together political, economic and business
leaders and provides CEDA members with business intelligence on the
environment they will be operating in over the next 12 months.
Annual Dinner
CEDA's annual dinner is an end-of-year celebration that
traditionally features an address by the Governor of the Reserve
Bank of Australia.
