Join leaders, be informed and be part of the discussion at CEDA's annual national events.

Every year, CEDA hosts national events that contribute to and stimulate public debate on Australia’s economic development. They provide an open platform for discussion, delivering feedback to policymakers and ideas to the business community.

Economic and Political Overview (EPO)

Running for more than 30 years, CEDA’s annual Economic and Political Overview (EPO) events are held in each capital city in February and March to coincide with the release of CEDA’s annual EPO publication.

The events and publication provide analysis to inform on the economic and political environment in which we will be operating for the year ahead.

State of the Nation

CEDA has hosted the annual State of the Nation in Canberra in June for more than 35 years. This two-day conference delivers briefings and discussions with senior government ministers and shadow ministers, public servants and leading business commentators.

The State of the Nation offers an insider's view of the federal government's policies. Participants discuss issues directly with speakers and other attendees, and take part in regular networking opportunities.

Annual Dinner

CEDA's Annual Dinner is an end-of-year celebration that features an address by the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia every second year.

Copland lecture

Sir Douglas Copland’s legacy of international cooperation is acknowledged through CEDA’s Sir Douglas Copland Lecture. Each year, the lecture delivers a high-calibre international speaker.
