The Transport Series of events will run in multiple
states including Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. The
series will explore a range of transport issues including airports,
rail and ports, policy and pricing options as well as proposed
changes under the Integrated Transport Authority in NSW.

CEDA's Women in Leadership Series aims to advance the
cultural and organisational change required to progress more women
to leadership positions within the workplace. In 2012 the series
will focus some of the critical issues identified in the 2011
report, Women in Leadership: Looking below the surface,
with a wider exploration of gender relations facing business and
society. Women in Leadership events will be run
across the country in 2012.

As well as a CEDA policy priority in 2012, Productivity will also
be the focus of a CEDA series. Improving Australia's
Productivity Scorecard - The levers for change will be run in
NSW with a focus on the critical issues at the core of Australia's
productivity challenge including the ageing population, climate
change and the fiscal environment.

CEDA will continue to examine the energy issues including
resources, infrastructure, costs and policy as they continue to
dominate the national agenda. The 2012 Energy Series
coincides with the CEDA's continued energy research,
Australia's Energy Options. The NSW Energy Series
will look at issues of gas, affects of the Energy White Paper and
renewable energy.

CEDA's Reinventing the Regions Series discusses key
economic drivers and prospects for growth in regional centres.
In 2011 the series examined what is required for continued
growth in the Ballarat and Shepparton regions. In 2012
Victorian events will be held in Geelong, Bendigo and the Latrobe
Valley covering topics such as population and changing dynamics,
employment, planning and development, infrastructure, industry and
manufacturing, foreign investment, agribusiness, education and arts
programs.

CEDA will host events in various states as part of the 2012
Vision and Leadership Series. In Victoria, the Leaders at
Breakfast Series will explore the latest economic, cultural
and international issues affecting Australia. NSW will run a
CEO Vision and Leadership Series as well as a
CIO Vision Series, bringing leaders within their field to
share their experiences with attendees.

morning sessions share the perspectives of expert commentators and

domestic and international politics, social communications and the
information landscape, innovation as well as employment and
productivity.

Series two of Inventing the Future will consider
the issues raised and develop a considered approach to the
discourse that needs to happen now; to shape the policy for WA,
with an ever-increasing international focus.
