CEDA has successfully held Women in Leadership events since 2010 and in 2017, CEDA continues this discussion.

Over the last six years, CEDA has held more than 100 events across Australia seeking to engender discussion about Women in Leadership. Over 250 presentations have been delivered at these events where over 16,000 people attended.

CEDA remains committed to improving gender equality, and continues to invite influential thought leaders to comment on the major policy issues confronting women in public and corporate life.

Five years of Women in Leadership

On 27 March 2015, CEDA celebrated five years of Women in Leadership discussions and research with the release of
CEDA’s Top 10 Speeches: Women in Leadership 2010–2015, a collection of the most influential and interesting Women in Leadership speeches on the CEDA stage over the last five years.

In 2015, CEDA's Women in Leadership event series will continue to discuss important issues about how Australia can close the gender gap, including:

  • Why women are still under-represented in leadership roles;
  • The changes required to move more women into leadership and senior management positions; and
  • How to address the gender pay gap

While it has been proven that greater gender diversity improves overall business performance, how can genuine progress be made?
What barriers are impacting change and how can leaders overcome them?
CEDA started its Women in Leadership journey in 2013 with our inaugural three3-part series. This second series will delve further into this issue to and investigate cultural and societal factors impacting gender equality, as well as explaining why the issue should be a priority for all leaders in this StateWA.
