Reinventing the Regions: Victorian Regional
Economic Development Series
CEDA has partnered with Regional Development Victoria (RDV) to
deliver a five-part event series across regional Victoria, to
discuss the economic issues and opportunities facing regional
centres.
A wide-range of speakers from business, industry, government,
community and academia will be invited to provide their views and
to facilitate a deeper analysis and debate of the issues affecting
regional Victoria.
Topics to be covered include population and changing dynamics,
employment, planning and development, infrastructure, industry and
manufacturing, foreign investment, agribusiness, education and arts
programs.
An information paper will be produced at the conclusion of the
series, which will summarise the key outputs and stimulate ideas
and innovation for the future prosperity of regional Victoria.
This series commenced in 2011 with events held in Ballarat and
Shepparton. In 2012 an event has already been held in
Geelong, with others planned for Bendigo and the Latrobe
Valley.
