Transport Series
As part of the Transport Series, events will be held in QLD, NSW
and VIC.
Queensland Transport Infrastructure series
In Queensland transport is a fundamental conduit to economic
growth and social cohesion. The Queensland Transport
Infrastructure series provides a timely move from a focus on
transport infrastructure projects and project roll-outs seen in
isolation, to a look at the reform and repositioning of transport
infrastructure.
The Queensland Transport Infrastructure series looks at
transport infrastructure at a time when the big issues are
unfolding.
In 2012, reform is expected around heavy vehicle, rail and
ports, and traditional policy and pricing assumptions. Sector
specific demands are also expected to be questioned. At the same
time, changes nationally and in Queensland will influence
resources, regional and urban development, while regulation
requirements will impact on workforce, cross border operations,
business capability and capacity.
In 2012 the Queensland Transport Infrastructure series will
examine the future of transport in Queensland. This series started
in August 2011 with the examination of the evidence base for
investment.
The next public event in the series is scheduled for April/May
2012 where keynote speakers will present their analysis of the
economic impact and opportunities of national transport reforms.
A CEDA trustee briefing on specific aspects of the sector
will also be held.
This series is sponsored by:

under the Integrated Transport Authority - Transport for NSW, the
impact it may have on industry and the expectations on industry in
delivering a true customer experience. In addition issues such as
financing Infrastructure projects, both upgrades and investment in
