Women in Leadership
Women in Leadership
Following the successful Women in Leadership events in
2011 and launch of the Women in Leadership report in September
2011, the 2012 series will again be held in Victoria, NSW, SA and
Queensland. In 2012 the Women in Leadership Series
will focus on some of the critical issues identified in the report,
with a wider exploration of gender relations facing business and
society.
While women have been in the workforce for over a century, they
are still disappointingly under-represented in leadership roles in
the corporate sector. The series aims to advance the discussion
about women as leaders, and the changes required to move more women
into leadership and senior management positions, especially given
Australia's productivity remains a key issue.
NEW SOUTH WALES
The NSW events will explore gender diversity in business strategy,
the new CEOs - characteristics of leaders, work-life balance and
the costs of workforce participation and achieving gender targets
(40 per cent by 2015).
