CEDA's membership and leadership covers a remarkable range of interests and viewpoints.

Around 900 businesses, universities, government bodies and community groups are members. (Their membership subscriptions and event attendance provide the majority of CEDA's funds.)

CEDA's Board of Governors includes business leaders such as Michael Chaney, Hugh Morgan and Linda Nicholls, former prime ministers Malcolm Fraser and Bob Hawke, public policy expert and former deputy prime minister Professor Brian Howe, and Nobel Prize winners Professor Peter Doherty and Professor Adrienne Clarke.

CEDA publications are distributed to more than 2500 business, policy and academic leaders and decision makers - both members and non-members - from corporate executives to state and federal ministers and staffers, department heads and senior staff, senior journalists and the senior staff of professional services firms.
