Who are your emerging leaders?
We invite you to nominate executives with high leadership
potential to take part in the Copland Program for 2010.
Participants are drawn from the full spectrum of CEDA's membership
- business, the public sector, academic and community
organisations.
CEDA and Flinders University
The Copland Program is named in recognition of Sir Douglas
Copland, the founding Chairman of CEDA.
CEDA brings to the program unparalleled access to Australia's
leaders and an understanding of emerging issues and challenges for
business.
In Adelaide the program is proudly presented in conjunction with
Flinders University and hosted by RiAus at the Science
Exchange.
South Australian business has always had to seek markets
outside the state's borders in order to grow and prosper. As
Australia becomes more integrated within the global economy those
markets will increasingly be beyond our national borders and
engaging with those markets will require new skills of the emerging
leaders of South Australian business.
The Facilitator - The theoretical component of
the Copland Program is led by Geoff Anderson. Prior to
joining Flinders in February 2004 Geoff spent 20 years working in
Government and the public service and, after leaving the public
sector, operated his own consultancy company specialising in
government relations and communication. Geoff's clients
included major Australian and international companies as well as
State and Federal Government agencies. During his time in the
public sector he worked as Chief of Staff to the Premier of South
Australia and later held Senior Executive positions in the
Department of Premier and Cabinet and the Department of Housing and
Urban Development. Geoff's role involved working with all
levels of Government across Federal, State and Local Government
systems.
