Productivity
Productivity
Increased productivity has been a
key factor in the nation's economic growth and improving standards
of living over the last 25 years. However, despite technological
change, Australia's level of productivity growth has been declining
since the mid 1990s.
With an ageing population reducing the number of workers in the
workforce, productivity and efficiency are significant issues that
needed to be examined.
CEDA will look at a range of issues surrounding productivity
including innovation, workplace flexibility and the sustained
competition for skills during 2012 to answer the question, how can
we do more with less?
In CEDA's annual Economic and Political
Overview (EPO) for 2012, productivity was addressed as a
key item.
