Position overview

CEDA is seeking a strategic Data Specialist for a 6 months full time contract to work across our business to design our data strategy and lead the data migration for a major systems upgrade.  This role has the potential to be converted to a permanent role.
 
CEDA is significantly upgrading its IT capabilities.  We are replacing our CRM and general ledger systems with Microsoft Dynamics 365 tools, to enhance our member value offering, our marketing and analytics capabilities and our internal business processes. We are actively seeking a commercially focused IT professional to design and socialise our data target state and then lead the data migration steam of our project.  The successful candidate must have experience in D365 tools, data strategy, data migration and project delivery. This role will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer.

Duties and responsibilities 

The Data Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Designing data target state and data migration strategy and gaining business endorsement;
  • Analysing current data sets and determining appropriate treatment for each set;
  • Preparing the data migration templates provided by the implementation partner for data to be migrated and execute;
  • Engaging with the broader project team to ensuring appropriate documentation is completed to enable effective change management and training to be delivered;
  • Responding to and resolving issues in a timely manner to minimise disruption to the business.

Required qualifications and experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology
  • 7+ years in data and related roles
  • CRM experience essential, Microsoft Dynamics experience mandatory, IMIS experience highly regarded
  • Proven experience in the migration of data to Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Proven experience in Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL and SSRS
  • Excellent and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with writing and executing test scripts
