Dr Gordon de Brouwer PSM


Dr Gordon de Brouwer PSM is a CEDA Director. CEDA's Board of Directors provides strategic advice and is made up of Australian business and policy leaders.
Gordon has over 30 years’ experience in public policy and administration, including Australia, Asia and globally. His areas of professional policy expertise include macro, financial and international economics; natural resource and environmental management; climate change; energy markets; the integration of security and economics in strategic policy; international organisations; institutional design and governance; and public-sector management and governance.
Gordon has served as Secretary of the Department of the Environment and Energy and in senior positions in the Prime Minister’s Department, in Treasury, the Reserve Bank and as G20 Sherpa. He has worked as a Professor of Economics and is now an Honorary Professor and Distinguished Policy Fellow at the Australian National University, Adjunct Professor at the University of Canberra, and non-resident fellow at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C.
Gordon has a doctorate in economics from the ANU, received a Public Service Medal for his work on the G20, and was made a Knight in France’s Legion of Honour for G20 and public service.
