Kirsten Rose


Kirsten Rose is a member of CEDA's State Advisory Council in Western Australia.
As Head of Innovation, Sustainable Operations, Kirsten brings together innovation, technology and people to solve some of BHP’s most complex global sustainability challenges – greenhouse gas emissions, water, dust and tailings. Kirsten’s professional career has spanned over 25 years in a variety of industries and general management roles in the US, UK and Australia. Prior to BHP, Kirsten was the West Australian State Manager for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and the CEO of the Sustainable Energy Association of Australia. Kirsten is a member of CSIRO’s Energy Advisory Board and is a WA State Councillor for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA). In 2017, she won a Chief Executive Women scholarship to MIT’s Sloan Business School, and she is a regular speaker on innovation, the energy transition, inclusion and diversity, and the importance of innovation in corporate strategy. Kirsten is based in Perth, Western Australia, and holds a BA in Art History from Northwestern University.
