Kyl Murphy


State Director, QLD

As State Director, Kyl is responsible for all CEDA’s operations in Queensland, for program development and execution; for research, policy and issue analysis; for business strength and growth; and for ensuring our members receive the full benefits of CEDA’s work.

With extensive experience in stakeholder relations, governance and strategy Kyl has held senior roles including as Executive Director and National Program Manager in State and Federal government agencies and worked in academia, the media and in cross-sector partnerships. She has led major projects on social policy, sector reform, innovation integration and organisational change in local government, regional services, infrastructure and planning portfolios. 

Kyl holds a Master of Business from Queensland University of Technology and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and of INSEAD Executive Education in International Business. She is a Director of South Bank Corporation, the Community Services Industry Alliance (CSIALtd) and of the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts Pty Ltd, a national registered training organisation; and has previously served on the National Community Partnerships Committee and the Queensland Board of the Australian Red Cross.
