Event overview

Australia has long needed a new prescription for healthcare and the sector has been poised for rapid technology change. While the current COVID-19 crisis has required greater acceptance and take-up of digital delivery of healthcare, much more can be achieved if we capitalise on the right technologies.

This event will examine:

  • The extent to which data, artificial intelligence and technology have enabled decision making during the COVID-19 crisis;
  • The growing use of smart devices, mobile health, telehealth and linking digital records to help improve equity of access and quality of care;
  • Driving the transition to electronic health records and ‘big data’ to map, monitor and predict population health trends;
  • Precision medicine and genetic testing becoming more common and affordable;
  • AI enabled devices and their role in healthcare to improve outcomes for disadvantaged and remote communities; and
  • Operational performance, population health, and enhancing productivity in healthcare.
