Premier of NSW
Gladys was first elected to the NSW Parliament as Member for Willoughby on 22 March 2003. She was elected Leader of the Parliamentary Liberal Party on 23 January 2017 and sworn in as the 45th Premier of New South Wales. Gladys had previously served as Treasurer and Minister for Industrial Relations in the Baird Government since April 2015. Prior to that, she was appointed Minister for Transport following the election of the O’Farrell Government in March 2011 and served in that role for four years.
Michael Daley MP
NSW Opposition Leader, Member for Maroubra
Michael Daley is the Member for Maroubra in the NSW Parliament (since 2005). He currently holds the positions of Leader of the Opposition, Shadow Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, and Shadow Minister for Gaming and Racing (all since 2016). In the NSW Labor Opposition Michael’s former Shadow Ministerial positions include serving as Shadow Treasurer (2011-2016), Shadow Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight (2014-15), as well as Shadow Minister for Police and Emergency Services (2014), and Shadow Minister for Finance and Services (2011-2014). In Government, Michael’s former positions include serving as Minister for Police (2009-11), Minister for Finance (2009-11), and Minister for Roads (2008-2009).
The Hon. Chris Bowen MP
Shadow Treasurer, Federal Member for McMahon
Chris Bowen entered Parliament in 2004 and has held a wide range of portfolios including serving as Treasurer, Minister for Human Services, Minister for Immigration, Minister for Financial Services, Assistant Treasurer, Minister for Competition Policy, Minister for Small Business and Minister for Tertiary Education. Chris has been responsible for a range of significant policy reform programs in these portfolios. He served as Interim Leader of the Labor Party and Acting Leader of the Opposition following the 2013 Federal election and has been Shadow Treasurer since 2013. Chris served on Fairfield Council for nine years and is a former Mayor and President of the Western Sydney Councils (WSROC).

Melinda Cilento is an economist, experienced executive and company director. She has served as a Commissioner with the Productivity Commission, in senior roles in Federal Treasury and as Chief Economist and Deputy CEO at the Business Council of Australia.

Deanne Stewart joined First State Super as Chief Executive Officer in 2018. An experienced financial services industry leader, Deanne is passionate in her belief that a strong culture and clearly defined purpose drives business success. Deanne has with more than 20 years’ leadership experience in financial services in superannuation and insurance sectors in Australia and internationally. This includes time as Managing Director with Merrill Lynch Investment management in New York, and as an Engagement Manager with McKinsey and Company in London. Prior to joining First State Super, Deanne was Chief Executive Officer of MetLife Australia, where she led her team to deliver faster, easier and a more caring insurance experience for customers and partners. Her time with MetLife was preceded by senior roles within BT Financial Group including as General Manager for Superannuation, Marketing and Direct Channels.

Michael Blythe

Michael identifies trends in the Australian economy and leads research, economic analysis and forecasting at Australia’s largest bank. He has worked as Senior Economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia and long contributed the Economic overview to CEDA’s annual EPO report.
Megan Motto
Chief Executive Officer, Governance Institute of Australia
Megan Motto is the Chief Executive Officer of the Governance Institute of Australia. The Governance Institute of Australia is the only fully independent professional association with a sole focus on whole-of-organisation governance. Prior to this appointment, she was the CEO of Consult Australia, the association for professional services firms within the built and natural environment. Megan is also currently a Director of Standards Australia and a Director and Chair of the NSW State Advisory Council for the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA). In addition to her double teaching degree (BABEd) and Masters in Communication Management, Megan is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Justice of the Peace.
