The new financial year is with us and CEDA has another four leading professionals from the communications industry to present in the Breakfast on the Run series.

The series provides short, sharp and to-the-point gatherings with in-depth analysis and opportunities for dynamic exchange with a new network of peers. This series will focus on key aspects of Australia's economic and social development in the 21st century.

In a little over a decade we've gone from a completely disconnected to entirely connected culture - and not just here in Australia, but everywhere in the world. Five and a half billion of the world's seven billion people now own a mobile, and people are finding new ways to connect to people, everywhere, to improve their lives.

We live in a world thick with all sorts of new and newly powerful relationships; the product of all this connectivity are businesses need to adapt to the new operating environment if they want to survive and thrive. Everyone is connecting, and once connected, they start to share things important to them. Shared knowledge and empowering people in unexpected ways will make employees work harder, customers more demanding - and competitors more vicious.

In our first session for the new financial year, Mark Pesce, Founder of Future St Consulting and panellist on the ABC's hit series The New Inventors, will answer the important questions. How can the connected present be put to work? And how can you get in front of these changes and make them work for you?
