Event overview
Increasingly, workplaces are being ranked and rated by employees and external groups with regard to gender equality in the workplace.
In the second NSW event of CEDA's popular Women in Leadership Series, presenters will explore how workplaces can adjust to growing expectations in this area. The status quo has been shifting and rigid work parameters are in the process of changing, but not in all sectors.
A change of thinking regarding diversity, inclusion and flexibility promotes an agile organisation - responsive rather than reactive.
Jenny Brockie, SBS Presenter will facilitate a lively and active discussion with Senator Arthur Sinodinos AO, Senator for NSW, Diana Cross, Arup and Troy Roderick, Telstra will draw on their own experiences to provide a compelling argument for flexibility.
The session will focus on how to engage workforces in a sustained fashion, using strategies across talent management, benchmarking and organisational design amongst others. Scenarios for a flexible workplace, one that takes gender equality and elevates it beyond a narrow worldview, will be constructed.
Meaningful flexible work and careers are still not common practice in Australian workplaces. This is despite new technologies and labour mobility which enable the more productive use of resources.
