Event overview

The New South Wales Government’s Freight and Ports Strategy was the first report of its kind delivered by a sitting government when released in 2013, detailing an ambitious plan for the State’s transport network.

With the expected doubling of freight volumes through NSW - to nearly 800 million tonnes by 2031 - freight delivery and logistics requires a strategic focus to ensure policy, infrastructure and land-planning initiatives deliver an efficient transport network where capacity, competitiveness and performance meet the ever-growing demands of the State.

This session will examine:

  • The importance of an integrated transport solution to meet the expected growth in freight movement in NSW;
  • Developing a long-term intermodal delivery capacity; and
  • From customs to the consumer - ensuring the state's delivery supply chain is a world-class, modern and competitive freight network.
