Event overview

To succeed in the 21st Century economy our cities, regional and metropolitan, need to be liveable, accessible and underpinned by productive infrastructure.

As our economy continues to transition and our knowledge-based industries grow, so too do our cities. To take advantage of tomorrow’s economic opportunities, leaders across industry and government need to rethink the way our cities are planned, built and managed today.

CEDA’s final instalment of the 2017 Transport and Infrastructure series will examine the nexus between productivity enhancing transport infrastructure and development of our 21st century, sustainable and connected cities:

This event will explore:

  • The performance of Australian cities compared to global exemplars and the development of the National Cities Performance Framework and insights into the Federal Government city deal and collaboration between all levels of government;
  • Promoting vital infrastructure investment in urban infrastructure and improving the productivity of infrastructure spending; and
  • City shaping transport infrastructure as a mechanism for economic growth.
