Guest speaker Lucas Dow will discuss Australia's resource future, examining:

Lucas Dow
Chief Executive Officer, Adani Mining Australia

Lucas is Chief Executive Officer of Adani Mining Australia, working to deliver the Carmichael Mine’s promise of creating benefits for its shareholders, regional Queensland communities and the Australian economy.  

Lucas began his career as a Mine Engineer in thermal and metallurgical coal operations before moving into operational management roles.

Prior to joining Adani in April 2018, Lucas held senior and diverse roles in global organisations including CEO and Asset President for BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) and VP – Operations and Director – South 32 as well as Vice President of the Queensland Resources Council.  Lucas holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) Honours, Mining from The University of Queensland.

We at CEDA are proud to regularly convene and engage speakers and audiences as an essential element of our efforts to broaden discussion and debate of the most important policy issues facing Australia. In doing so, our first priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

With that in mind, CEDA has postponed all Trustee events until 31 May 2020. However CEDA remains true to its purpose of providing platforms to inform and promote debate of critical issues and driving policy solutions and will continue critical discussions for Australia’s economic, social and environmental development through a digital events program including exclusive livestreams, podcasts and video.
