Australia's Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Elizabeth Broderick has observed many changes in the landscape of gender equality in Australia - progress, setbacks and clear areas of opportunity. As she nears the end of her eight year term, Elizabeth will reflect on these learnings and identify what is required in the future to create more gender equal workplaces, and ultimately, a more gender equal world.

Elizabeth Broderick
Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Australian Human Rights Commission

Elizabeth Broderick eight year extended term as Sex Discrimination Commissioner ends in September 2015. She has also served as Commissioner responsible for Age Discrimination; Global Co-Chair of the Women’s Empowerment Principles Leadership Group, a joint initiative of the UN Global Compact and UN Women; and as a member of the World Bank’s Advisory Council on Gender and Development.
