Join leaders from across business and industry for CEDA's 2013 Queensland State of the State address. This annual event, provides the opportunity for you and your senior colleagues and guests to hear directly from the Premier of Queensland and to discuss the strategies for Queensland's economic development.

As we consider the state of the State, it is timely as 2013 draws to a close to reflect:

  • Structuring Queensland's economy for strength and resilience has been governments focus since it took office.
  • A whole-of-government economic growth strategy for the next decade is in development.
  • There is a stated ongoing commitment to encourage infrastructure projects, streamline government processes and increase government accountability.
  • Operation and delivery of services, including in health and education, across the State are shifting as accepted Commission of Audit recommendations are implemented.
  • With progress, the pillars of the State's economy are experiencing different and at times conflicting challenges.
  • Our international relations, trading partners and investors are looking to us with renewed expectation. Consideration of our competitiveness and productivity is timely.
  • Queenslanders have articulated their aspirations and priorities for the future through the development of the 30 year Queensland Plan.

As an independent national organisation CEDA hosts State of the State addresses across the country each year. Hear the Queensland Premier's views and discuss the forward direction for Queensland at the 2013 State of the State.
