EVENT OVERVIEW
The CEDA Future of Business event will explore business operations in the future and the characteristics of work, workplaces and skills to 2020 and beyond.
This event will discuss:
- The look of businesses in 2020 and beyond;
- Communication with staff and customers in the future;
- Technology mediums becoming essential for business survival; and
- Essential skills of the future workforce.
Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Stephen Yarwood will provide insights into the Adelaide City Council's vision for the city and what opportunities this will provide to businesses in Adelaide.
This event will also provide an analysis of the key findings from the Optus/Deloitte Access Economics report into the future of business, will discuss how digital technologies are transforming Australian businesses and service models, and what trends are already emerging.
Findings from this report include:
- 48 per cent of organisations expect to offer mobile applications to their customers in three to five years' time, up from 18 per cent of those who already offer mobile applications; and
- Organisations are relaxing rules around using external social media tools in the workplace, and expect to ease them further over the next three to five years.
CEDA's Future of Business event will bring together key leaders, ABS statistics on industry and workforce plus provide insight and understanding from the Training and Skills Commission.
