Event overview

The first event in the SA Women in Leadership Series for 2013 will discuss the experiences of women in non-traditional industries and examine how companies can achieve gender equity in the workplace.
CEDA is delighted to welcome Holly Ransom from Rio Tinto to lead discussion around the opportunities and challenges faced by women within male-dominated industries. Holly will discuss the barriers and opportunities facing our future leaders and how she has managed to accomplish so much in her professional and personal life at the age of 22.
Holly will also be joined by a panel of speakers to give their views and experience on women in male-dominated industries.
There is a strong economic case that businesses with both men and women equally represented at all levels, including senior levels, perform better. So how do we achieve this?
CEDA is delighted Kate Gould, Co-Chair of the Premiers Council for Women will launch the Premier's Council for Women's guide, Words into Action.

Words into Action is a practical guide for how to achieve gender equity in the workplace, and potentially improve company performance.
