Event overview

Innovation is critical to our long-term success in business and a strategic necessity, but the term innovation can often be used as a buzz phrase. The term innovation is hard to define and means different things to different people, ranging from material improvements to existing products or processes to the rare disruptive innovation.

Forbes suggests that innovation occurs through an inefficient process of ideation, exploration, and experimentation. Adding gender diversity into this mix, the Harvard Business Review suggests that innovation around women in business is both complex and critical given:

  • Women represent a growth market more than twice as big as China and India combined;
  • Women control $20 trillion in global consumer spending;
  • Own or operate between 25 to 33 per cent of all private businesses; and
  • Earn an estimated $13 trillion.

Join CEDA as we host leading business figures providing their thoughts on what innovation means to them.
