Event overview

Join CEDA for an end of year catch-up as we finish our highly successful 2016 Women and Leadership Series.

CEDA is delighted to welcome back Jane Caro, lecturer, author and media commentator, Catherine Fox, author and journalist and Miriam Silva, Chair, Premier's Council for Women, to reflect on the year with an informative and entertaining discussion.

CEDA is also pleased to welcome the Chiefs for Gender Equity. In October 2016 the Chiefs announced the appointment of five high-profile female business executives with an aim to achieve a 50/50 gender balance by 2018. The appointments represent a positive evolution of the group who aim to be recognised as models for best practice in achieving and promoting initiatives that increase gender equality.

Demonstrating their commitment to the Panel Pledge, the panel discussion will include an equal number of men and women and will be moderated by the convenor of the group, Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, Dr Niki Vincent.

Public event advice – Coronavirus

We at CEDA are proud to regularly convene and engage speakers and audiences as an essential element of our efforts to broaden discussion and debate of the most important policy issues facing Australia. In doing so, our first priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff.

With that in mind CEDA has suspended all public and trustee events. However CEDA remains true to its purpose of providing platforms to inform and promote debate of critical issues and driving policy solutions and are continuing critical discussions for Australia’s economic, social and environmental development through a digital events program including exclusive livestreams, podcasts and video, as well as our virtual Trustee roundtable discussions.

CEDA will continue to closely monitor government advice regarding public gatherings and act on relevant health advice from the Australian government in relation to COVID-19.
