EVENT OVERVIEW

CEDA's annual State of the State provides a platform for the government of the day to brief the business community on their policy priorities for the year ahead.

This year's forum takes on additional significance as Tasmania will soon move into full election mode.

  • What is the vision of both major parties for the future of Tasmania?
  • How will they improve economic growth and arrest the state's decline across a whole range of economic indicators?
  • Will the recent change of Federal Government impact their long term plans?

The forum will also bring together a range of business leaders to lend their voice to the vision of where Tasmania would like to be in 2030 - how to build a knowledge economy in the State and grow sectors like tourism and dairy that will underpin solid economic expansion in the years to come.
