EVENT OVERVIEW

With investment in infrastructure being a centrepiece of the Federal Government's 2009-10 Budget and the importance of long term infrastructure spending to boost productivity of the economy, CEDA, supported by Clayton Utz and Ernst & Young, will host a national program of events on Australia's infrastructure agenda for the future.

The InfraStructuring Australia series will encourage debate on challenges and solutions to achieve better policy outcomes on infrastructure delivery.

Opening Conference - Melbourne, 30 March 2010

At this opening forum, CEDA welcomes distinguished government and industry experts to investigate new and innovative solutions for project financing and delivery models. These require successful partnership and collaboration between the public and private sector.

In the current economic climate, accessing private funding for large infrastructure projects is ever more difficult. While there are signs of recovery and some appetite for new investment options, any new deals are subject to markedly different commercial terms.

CEDA invites attendees to participate in interactive discussions with public and private sector representatives to explore funding and delivery models to boost private infrastructure investment and examine the investment landscape for major infrastructure projects.
