EVENT OVERVIEW

As Australia's population boom continues, there is strong potential for growth and development in regional cities, like Geelong, to lead in sustainability and liveability.

There is good evidence that Geelong's business / industry and community groups are already responding - with enhanced sustainability strategies in resource use, emissions reductions, water conservation and waste management. The potential for Geelong to respond to the key issues of sustainability and liveability has been rewarded with strong growth in population, industry development, increased employment opportunities and investment in key infrastructure projects.

Geelong is in a strong position to strategically position itself and lead the way as an environmental champion while maximising the economic development opportunities, thereby positioning itself at the forefront of sustainable communities.

At this forum, CEDA will host business / industry and community leaders to discuss opportunities aimed at optimizing the returns for business investment in delivering sustainability outcomes.

Geelong is well positioned to maximise emerging economic opportunities; local leaders are already making strides to future proof Geelong and are excited about the prospects of increased collaboration, which will maximise investments and drive a transformational step change.

Come and learn more about how Geelong is preparing to lead in today's environmental and economic climate.
