EVENT OVERVIEW

As Melbourne changes and grows, we need to assess what transport mix best suits the needs of the travelling public. While building more infrastructure is a long term necessity, we need to get more creative about how we can increase the productive use of existing assets and diversify or expand the modes on offer. There is also a need to consider how smart technologies can be applied to existing assets and what outcomes we want to achieve - whether it's to change user behaviour, modify directional traffic flows or prioritise modes.

Building new infrastructure is expensive and long term, yet pressures on current networks grow every day. Even incremental improvements and a re-visioning of how we look at our current network will help increase our utilisation. Join CEDA for this important discussion on the future of transport in Melbourne and beyond.
