Event overview

The Travis Review, conducted by surgeon and former AMA Victoria President Dr Doug Travis, is the most comprehensive review ever undertaken into the capacity of Victoria's hospitals.

The Interim Report released in March included recommendations about how to improve the capacity of Victoria's public hospitals, and highlighted the need to develop a statewide service and infrastructure plan to ensure our hospitals can cope with increasing patient demand. It also proposed innovative models for process redesign and expansion of alternative models of care.

The Government has already indicated its support for all of the Interim Report's recommendations, and will detail its full response at this event. The Minister will also use this address to respond to any additional recommendations in the Travis Review Final Report, which will be provided to Government in the middle of the year.

Join CEDA and the Victorian Minister for Health and Minister for Ambulance Services, the Hon. Jill Hennessy for insights into the most comprehensive review into the capacity of Victoria’s hospitals, and the health priorities of the state government.
