We are delighted to welcome Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to the CEDA lectern in Melbourne to give his first major address since the Federal election.

Mr Turnbull will give a major economic address to CEDA members and guests.

Following careers as a journalist and as a business leader, Malcolm Turnbull was elected as the Member for Wentworth in the 2004 Federal election. In 2006 Mr Turnbull was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister, and 12 months later was appointed Minister for Environment and Water Resources.

Following the 2007 election loss, Mr Turnbull was appointed Shadow Treasurer and following a leadership ballot in September 2008, he was elected by his colleagues to lead the Liberal Party as Leader of the Opposition, a position held until 1 December 2009. Malcolm was the Minister for Communications from September 2013 to September 2015. He was elected the leader of the Liberal Party and Prime Minister on 14 September 2015.

Following the Federal election on July 2, Mr Turnbull was returned as Prime Minister of Australia.
