At this event we explore the growing opportunities for businesses to take control of their energy needs, implement new energy technologies and accelerate their sustainability goals.

Together with James Gerraty from Telstra Energy, Tony Fullelove from Monash University's Net Zero Initiative and Anna Skarbek from ClimateWorks Australia we discuss the different strategies, investments, financing models and innovative solutions being deployed.

Meet the panel

Tony Fullelove
Program Director, Net Zero Initiative and Microgrid Project, Monash University

Tony led the development of Monash University’s Net Zero Initiative to achieve net zero emissions and be Australia’s first 100 per cent renewable energy powered university by 2030. He leads a team across several initiatives including on-site generation, energy efficiency, building systems and Monash’s microgrid control system. Tony previously held senior roles at AGL Energy and Jacobs.

James Gerraty
Head of Telstra Energy, Telstra

James leads Telstra’s energy team, which works to leverage Telstra’s unique energy assets and exposures. In 2017 Telstra was involved in two of the largest corporate energy purchasing agreements in Australia, including the 429MW Murra Warra Wind Farm which is expected to be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. James previously held senior roles at Meridian Energy and Powershop Australia.

Anna Skarbek
Chief Executive Officer, ClimateWorks Australia

Anna has led ClimateWorks since its inception in 2009. Anna guides ClimateWorks’ independent research and advisory work analysing emissions reduction opportunities and partnering with government and business to unblock barriers to implementation. Anna brings considerable private and public sector knowledge to the role as an experienced investment banker, policy advisor and qualified lawyer.
