Meet the speaker

Jerril Rechter
Chief Executive Officer, VicHealth

Jerril has extensive experience in leadership across the areas of government and not-for-profit sectors and is a World Health Organization Advisor and is Chair of the International Network of Health Promotion Foundations.  Her current Ministerial appointments include Chair of Victoria’s Justice Health Ministerial Advisory Council and membership of the Liquor Control Advisory Council. VicHealth recently created a resource for organisations encountering resistance to gender equality policies, guided by a QUT evidence review commissioned by VicHealth in 2017.

Kathryn Fagg
Chair, Boral

Kathryn Fagg is an experienced chairman and board member having worked in senior executive roles across a range of industries, from resources, to manufacturing and logistics, as well as banking and professional services, in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Kathryn is Chairman of Boral Ltd, and Non-Executive Director on the boards of ASX-listed companies Djerriwarrh Investments and Incitec Pivot. Kathryn is also President of Chief Executive Women, who released a new report in July 2018 on Backlash & Buy-In: Responding to the Challenges in Achieving Equality.

Mike Kalms
Lead Partner, Australian Defence Industry & Space , KPMG

Mike has more than 20 years’ experience in a variety of private and public sectors roles in Australia, Europe and Asia. He has worked in capability development, political, advisory, strategy, mergers and acquisitions and general profit and loss leadership roles. He has a strong general management and consulting resume in defence and defence adjacent sectors. His particular passion is working collaboratively with clients and stakeholders to deliver rapid performance improvement in the business and battlespace.

Michael Baldwin
Head of Corporate Affairs, First State Super

As Head of Corporate Affairs, Michael has responsibility for promoting First State Super’s engagement with government, media, industry and other key stakeholders. He is also a member of First State Super’s Diversity & Inclusion Council. Over the past 20 years Michael has built a career in leadership, business and partnership management in roles spanning both the arts and corporate sectors.
