Event overview

With a large and diverse workforce, Ashley Dixon will speak on the planning, implementation and adoption of Synergy’s new internal company portal. Design-led to maximise employee engagement, the initiative succeeded in opening new two-way communication channels between the business and its employees – including its mobile field workers. In addition to boosting operational efficiencies, the project helped re-engage specific teams back into the business.  

As the future of work at front of mind for many organisations, Ashley will share her experiences in implementing these new digital communications channels for Synergy, but also speak more broadly on the opportunities available to organisations in taking advantage of technology to fully engage staff.

Ashley Dixon is a communications and marketing professional with over 20 years experience in the energy, financial services and professional services sectors in Australia and the UK. In her current role as corporate communications manager at Synergy, Ashley is responsible for informing and engaging a diverse workforce on day-to-day and strategic initiatives, helping to create a culture of shared understanding and common purpose while reinforcing Synergy’s values.

Jennifer Evans
Director, Velrada

Jennifer Evans is an Executive Director with over 20 years’ business and technology consulting experience across multiple industries with a focus on digital transformation, operational effectiveness, efficiencies and change management. As a specialist in her field, she has a strong record of accomplishment in strategic planning, information systems, change and stakeholder management, as well as operational efficiency initiatives. She adopts a pragmatic, agile approach focused on engaging people who are necessary to affect progress and transformation, at both the functional and organisational level. Jennifer is adept with regard to building agility throughout an organisation, by increasing a culture and capacity for continuous renewal and change.
