Event overview

Australia’s most senior diplomat, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Secretary, Frances Adamson is joined by experts operating in aid, education, and security to outline for attendees the transformation taking place in the Asia-Pacific.

The region is home to Australia’s most important economic partners and regional security relationships. Our long history as a preferred supplier of goods, services, security and expertise can no longer be assumed; new players and new investors are increasing their influence and competing for a place in the region’s economic growth.

Already flagged in Australia’s response to changes in our northern neighbourhood –increased investment, labour mobility, connected policy, long run cross sector strategy and reprioritising regional defence and diplomacy.

Join a senior CEDA audience from across sectors to know what is changing in the neighbourhood, and just how much depends on Australia’s future role in regional security, economic and social development.
