In 2019 federal leadership, the impacts of policy change and inaction on critical sectors and competing agendas for Australia’s future will be front and centre, and critical to the further development of regional Australia.

You, your colleagues and guests will be briefed on the forward political cycle, key economic trends that will impact across sectors and how to minimise disruption to your business.

To hear if it’s likely that our expectations of policy makers will be met and what global trends mean for local outcomes join CEDA’s senior audience and leading political commentators and economists in Townsville.

Belinda Allen
Senior Economist, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Belinda identifies and reports on key economic trends for Australia’s largest bank. She specialises in global markets and is a Committee Member of the Women in Economics Network. She has previously held senior positions with Colonial First State Global Asset Management.

Professor Simon Jackman
Chief Executive Officer, United States Studies Centre

Simon directed work on the world’s longest running survey of political behaviour and attitudes, American National Election Studies, during the 2012 and 2016 United States Presidential elections. Simon is a dual citizen of Australia and the United States and political scientist whose work at Stanford focussed on public opinion, political participation and campaigns in the United States and Australia.
