CEDA's 4th annual Climate and Energy Summit brought together 300+ senior leaders from government, industry and academia at a pivotal moment in Australia’s transition. Held in Melbourne, the event explored how Australia can chart a credible pathway to 2035 and beyond, with discussions spanning decarbonisation, energy system transformation, climate adaptation and the nation’s green energy advantage.
Speakers included VIC Minister for Climate Action, Energy and Resources, the Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio; Climate Change Authority Chair, the Hon. Matt Kean; Chief Executive Officer Clean Energy Council, the Hon. Jackie Trad; Advisor and former Chief Executive Officer Principles for Responsible Investment, David Atkin and Chevron Australia President, Balaji Krishnamurthy.
Across the day, a clear theme emerged: achieving net zero will require coordinated action across markets, communities and institutions, alongside innovation and long-term commitment. This aligns strongly with CEDA’s Progress 2050 vision, which also positions climate adaptation and the energy transition as central to Australia’s long-term prosperity and resilience.
