Progress 2050 is CEDA’s vision for how Australia can realise its economic and social potential for the next generation. It is centred on two pillars: A strong economy + A strong social compact. Under those pillars lie six goals – three for each pillar. 

This Progress 2050 goal tracker shows Australia’s progress on these goals, based on a set of metrics that we can track over time, using reliable and available data.  

These metrics are a starting point to help us focus on what really matters. We will also use them to inform policy and drive action. 

The metrics are shaped by the quality and accessibility of the available data. We will adjust them over time to ensure we continue to measure what matters, to drive better decision making in Australia. 

The goal tracker measures the progress that is being made.  

Our Progress 2050 SWOT analysis is an assessment of the current state of the Australian economy, updated annually. 

Together, the goal tracker and SWOT dashboards tell us where Australia sits now and where we are heading.
