Explore our State of the Nation Hub
Our conference convened senior leaders from government, healthcare, research, academia and industry to examine the future of healthcare delivery across Queensland, with discussions focused on the reform priorities, operational pressures and long-term opportunities shaping the state’s health system.
Held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, speakers addressed a wide range of interconnected issues, from healthcare productivity and regional service delivery to workforce sustainability, digital transformation and the role of data in improving patient outcomes.
The conversations we facilitated also explored the design of future health infrastructure, approaches to improving health equity across Queensland communities, and the integration of aged care pathways into the broader health system. Ultimately, they reflected the growing need for collaboration between public health services, universities, primary care providers, community organisations and the private sector in responding to increasing demand and system complexity.
Across the day, we heard from Queensland Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, The Hon. Timothy Nicholls, Queensland Health Director-General Dr David Rosengren, and senior representatives from organisations including Ramsay Health, CSIRO, QUT, Griffith University, The University of Queensland, St Vincent Health Australia, Queensland Health and Health Consumers Queensland.
Crucially, we also heard the perspectives of regional and rural healthcare leaders, Indigenous health experts, workforce specialists and digital health innovators, providing a broad cross-section of insight into the challenges and opportunities facing healthcare delivery in the state.
