Australia has a strong hand. Are we playing it well?
At a time when the conversation on data centres has been ramping up, we hosted VIC Minister for Economic Growth and Jobs, Steve Dimopoulos MP, to understand Victoria's outlook in the backdrop of a boom in investment and discourse in this area.
The conversation naturally included the energy requirements of data centres, supporting, in turn, the net zero transition, and how better planning, workforce skills, social license, and infrastructure are required to leverage the economic benefits of these investments.
As part of the panel discussion, we were fortunate to hear the expertise of leaders from Vic Water, Origin Energy, City of Melbourne, and Celero Infrastructure.
