WA2035: DEVELOPING A WORLD-LEADING CLEAN TECHNOLOGY SECTOR

CEDA, in partnership with the Western Australian Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, hosted keynote speaker, the Hon. Stephen Dawson, WA Minister for Science; Innovation and the Digital Economy; Emergency Services; Medical Research, who unpacked how the State can accelerate the energy transition and become a clean technology world leader.
 

The event also brought together expert panellists:
 

Linda Dawson, Deputy Director General, WA Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation; Nicole Roocke, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia; Damon Sunderland, WA Energy Business Lead, Arup and Vanessa Torres, President, WA State Advisory Council, CEDA.
 

Throughout the afternoon, the panel discussed topics including WA’s energy advantage, investment in electrification technology and what technology will be needed for both enabling new industries and decarbonising existing ones.
