Destination South Australia: Harnessing Revenge Tourism

Federal Minister for Trade and Tourism, Senator the Hon. Don Farrell and South Australian Minister for Tourism, the Hon. Zoe Bettison, sat down with a panel of stakeholders and thought leaders, including, Emma Terry, Chief Executive Officer, SA Tourism Commission, Andrew McEvoy, Chairman Luxury Escapes; Director (Various). Former CEO Tourism Australia and Brenton Cox, Managing Director, Adelaide Airport, to explore how South Australia can revitalise tourism and build back stronger after the past few years. 

With SA overnight stays down 19% and tourism spend down approx. 4.5%pa in June 2022 compared to June 2019, the panel, facilitated by Professor Michael Gilding, Vice-President and Executive Dean College of Business, Government and Law, Flinders University, discussed the State's challenges ahead, including the steep competition from other Australian states for returning tourists.
