Premier of Queensland, The Hon. Annastacia Palaszczuk, returned to the CEDA stage for the 2023 Queensland State of the State address. The Premier made many new announcements including, the introduction of a Quantum Academy throughout schools and TAFE programs to prepare Queenslanders for new careers in fields including, renewables, aerospace, biotech, biofuels and agricultural technology.
Other announcements included a new energy rebate for small to medium-sized businesses and an update on the Queensland clean energy plan, announcing that the first hydrogen ready gas turbines would be installed and be operational by 2026.
