An exciting opportunity awaits for a dynamic and self-driven Event Manager who can manage and deliver innovative, high-quality face to face, hybrid and digital events on a permanent ongoing basis. As part of our state-based team in Perth, the Events Manager will be working with a nationally diverse Programming team in delivering end to end events logistics and managing adhoc day to day office operations.
To be successful in this role, you must love collaboration and have at least 3-5 years of experience in event coordination. Your ability to build relationships and engage with key stakeholders will be critical. Reporting to the Associate Director, Programming & Marketing, your day-to-day activities will include:

Key responsibilities:
• Manage and prioritise the CEO’s schedule, including calendar management, travel arrangements, meeting coordination and follow-up actions as required.
• Manage the CEO correspondence and communication (email, phone etc) highlighting matters requiring attention, with associated deadlines.
• Assist the Company Secretary in coordinating board and committee meetings, agendas and follow-up meeting actions.
• Project Management and Working Group participation as required.
• Melbourne office management (i.e. purchasing office supplies etc.) and administrative support in managing documentation/filing system.
• Participate in other ad-hoc activities to support collaboration, interactions and communications across CEDA in alignment with CEDA values.

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Membership and Engagement on a 12-month contract to join our nationally dispersed Membership team and actively identify, retain and engage CEDA members.
Key responsibilities:
• Member growth : Actively prospect, identify and recruit new members.
• Account management: Managing 80 – 120 accounts for member organisations, including the primary relationship with the decision maker(s) and gaining insight into the organisation and how they can best engage with CEDA to maximise member value proposition.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with local representatives of member organisations.
• Member Strategy: Contribute and support the development and activation of membership engagement and retention strategy.
• Sponsorship: Work collaboratively with the Programming Team to identify members interested in sponsorship of CEDA’s program and support sales of sponsorship packages and event tickets
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to maximise member value proposition and develop innovative solutions to better service members and attract new members
• Reporting: Contribute to membership financial forecasting and reporting
• Customer Service: Ensure the highest standard of customer service is delivered to members and stakeholders at all times
• Hosting Roundtables: Represent CEDA as a host/MC at roundtables and public events when required
You’ll love this role if you:
• have 5+ years of corporate or government work experience in membership, business development, professional services, sales/ marketing/communications, or related field (essential);
• have proven ability to build high-level relationships with senior executive personnel and stakeholders and work collaboratively with all sectors, including government, business, academia and NFP;
• demonstrated sound knowledge of membership attraction and retention strategies and ability to convert prospects to membership revenue;
• have a keen interest in current and emerging public policy issues;
• demonstrated success in implementing successful business development and engagement strategies;
• have strong communication skills, confident presentation abilities and the ability to communicate complex ideas and influence decision-makers;
• demonstrated initiative, prioritisation and administration skills with an ability to work under minimal supervision;
• have a high level of financial literacy and experience in working with targets and meeting budgets;
• have strong attention to detail and high-level competencies in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems (Dynamics 365 preferred);
• have relevant Tertiary qualifications, i.e. Bachelor of Commerce, International Business, Marketing, Communications or similar (desirable);
